ARCHIREPO is a suitable management tool for creating and sharing knowledge about the system of managing an organization and its key assets (so called governance system or management framework). It includes administration of business and Information Technology architecture of an institution or enterprise:

Business layer of the architecture:

Strategic goals and metrics
Projects/programmes/initiatives
Decomposition and relationships between processes (incl. the relationship between agendas and legislation)
Services and products
Organizational structure, positions, roles, responsibilities (e.g. process guarantee)

Application layer:

Applications, their functions and services,
Relationship between the application SW and the infrastructure processes and components,
Responsibility for the operation and assignment of users

Infrastructure:

Network infrastructure
Servers, work stations, mobile devices etc.

Clarity and cooperation

In some cases, a hierarchical cut and a tree structure is much clearer and more suitable than the graphical view on a large architectural model. You will simply get a detailed picture about the operation of your organization directly in an Internet browser. At the same time, you can simply remove duplicates and add or edit outdated objects – all of that with the possibility of cooperation (of up to 5 users simultaneously). Administrative editing will thus not rely on the architect. The repository offers current overview of the process and organizational structure together with the complete IT infrastructure including records of consecutive entities. A practical example may be the record of required changes or guarding of contractual parameters of current suppliers – the manager can simply and clearly see the impact of an event on the whole infrastructure and the guaranteed date of the error removal.

Import and export

Do you have the enterprise architecture in another tool such as Visual Paradigm, Enterprise Architect or other?* We will transfer your data to the OpenGroup ArchiMate® Model Exchange File Format standard, which can easily be imported for example to the Archi open-source tool (archimatetool.com). Do you encounter constant redrawing of the AS-IS state? It is better to use the record in a repository in combination with on-demand exports to the Archi tools.

* The last versions supported by default – Visual Paradigm 13, Sparx Enterprise Architect 12.1 and other. For other versions and tools, compatibility has to be checked first.

Easy online editor

Are you trying to solve the problem how to enable a bigger group of users to quickly and flexibly modify defined areas of architectural design?*. Do you sometimes hesitate to show the whole environment and all the objects in diagrams. The solution is an easy editor directly in the online environment, in which anyone can make changes anywhere, without need to launch a modeling applications. It is thus no problem to quickly remove a relationship or change an object. You will save money for training of other team members on specific tools – the web tool is intuitive and sufficient for any basic editing.

* Through user rights, it is possible to set whether the change will only tackle the exported image or it will also be reflected in the components database.
